First batch of Xiaomi Mi Note 2 sold out in 50 seconds

Xiaomi always has its fans at the ready when the time comes to launch a new phone. Even though it typically can’t produce enough product to sate the crowd, the sales go on anyways. And in the case of the Mi Note 2, they went on for a cool 50 seconds.

That’s the reported length of the first flash sale for the edgy phablet, sold only in its memory configuration of 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage — on sale for ¥2,799 or ($414). The 6/128GB config (¥3,299/$488) has yet to go on sale. There’s also a global version of the high-end model (¥3,499/$517) on the way, too. The next batch will be snatched up on November 8.

Fair warning to those looking at the in-your-face concept phone, the Mi MIX: it goes on flash sale November 3.
