Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 now have UK prices and release dates

If you’ve been itching for a new Nokia then your wait is almost over, as HMD Global (the company behind the recent Nokia phones) has revealed the UK release dates and prices for the Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3.

First up there’s the Nokia 3, which is landing on July 12 for £119.99. This is a fairly low-end handset, as you’d expect given the price. It has a 5-inch 720p screen, quad-core MediaTek chipset, 2GB of RAM, 8MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing one, plus a metal frame, giving it a surprisingly premium edge.

If you want the Nokia 5 you’ll have to wait until August 2, when it will be launching for £179.99. That has a slightly larger 5.2-inch screen, but it’s still 720p.

The Nokia 5 also has an octa-core Snapdragon 430 chipset, 2GB of RAM, 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing one, plus it also has a fingerprint scanner and it’s carved from a single block of aluminium – on paper that doesn’t sound bad at all for under £200.

Moving on up

However, it’s bettered by the Nokia 6, though you’ll have to pay £219.99 for that one when it launches on August 16.

The Nokia 6 has a 5.5-inch 1080p screen, a Snapdragon 430 chipset (just like the Nokia 5) and up to 4GB of RAM. Its cameras are a 16MP and 8MP pairing on the back and front respectively, and like the Nokia 5 it has a fingerprint scanner and is clad in aluminium.

That’s an impressive assortment of specs for what’s still a fairly budget phone, though we do have some concerns over the low-end chipset choice, so you might want to wait for our full review before buying.

  • Want something higher-end? The Nokia 9 could be coming soon too
