With Mobile World Congress quickly approaching, we're starting to see all sorts of speculation about some of the brand new handsets that could be getting grand unveilings at the trade expo event in Barcelona.
Two phones we're expecting to see are the Motorola G5 and the Motorola G5 Plus. Thanks to a pre-emptive online store listing - always on the cards when phones are about to be unveiled - we now think we know a little bit more about the specs of these devices.
Listings on a Brazilian outlet suggest the 5-inch G5 will come packing a 2GHz octacore Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal on-board storage, which can be expanded via microSD card if required.
Going large
Apparently the main difference with the G5 Plus will be its larger 5.5-inch screen, though the display resolution will be fixed at a 1080p Full HD resolution on both handsets. The bigger phone will have a bigger battery too, 3,100mAh rather than 3,000mAh.
Prices are included on the listings too, though they may just be rough guides to fill space before the exact details are released by Motorola. Based on a very quick currency conversion, the G5 will sell for $350 or £280, and the G5 Plus for $475 or £380.
Those details match up pretty neatly with what we've already been hearing about the phones, and with a Motorola event scheduled for February 26 in Barcelona, we won't have long to wait to get the official rundown on these new phones.
